If you want to study ichthyofauna (fishes) of Crișul Repede and Crișului Negru Rivers starting from sub-mountainous area to the border with Hungary, join us! We are talking about two great rivers, Crişul Negru River is probably the richest in ichthyofauna river in Romania (over 35 species of fish). Bonus, we will study the mountain area in Valea Iadului Natura 2000 site.
Planning expeditions take place in common, according to participants' availability. It is intended that monitoring intervals are between 1-5 days.
Examples regarding the activity:
Ideally, volunteers have camping gear (sleeping bag and sleeping pad mattress, tents are assured by us) and should not be afraid of water. Also for when you go down from the boat would require rigid-soled shoes (mountain sandals ideal) and for wading fishing will require chest boots/waders.
Swimming knowledge is an advantage, otherwise please let us know, for your safety, to bring you life jackets.
Providing boat propulsion.
Ichthyofauna capture and identification.
Boy / girl in a good physical shape. Recommended age between 18-30 years. Preferably passionate in ichthyology.
Accommodation (in tents), meals and questionable, in terms of value, transport.
Voluntary agreement, the possibility of achieving internship / subsequent employment.
Knowing Romania's ichthyofauna from hill to lowland waters.
Navigate the rivers by boat.
